Pulrose could be getting a new specialist sports venue, after a developer approached Douglas City Council.
At its last meeting, the Regeneration and Community Committee heard a site on Springfield Road was being considered for a tennis and racquets sports centre.
The site is owned by the local authority, and the committee said a long-term lease would need approval from the council and Department of Infrastructure.
The project, which needs planning permission, would also create changing facilities for nearby football pitches.
