New Bill proposes Island be split into 8 constituencies

The Electoral Reform Bill 2011 proposes that the Island should be divided into eight constituencies with each of them returning three MHKs and one MLC.

A Joint Committee has been established to consider the constitutional principles raised by the Bill.

Among the MHK's in the committee are Brenda Cannell, Phil Gawne and Leonard Singer.
