Nearly five million pounds has been paid out in compensation by the Department of Health and Social Care over the last three years.
The figures were released by Health Minister Claire Christian in response to a written Tynwald question from Rushen MHK Juan Watterson.
Between 2023 and 2024, around 1.8 million pounds in payments was made by the department, compared to over 1.1 million pounds from 2022 to 2023.
Mr Hooper wanted to know the figure for medical indemnity payments broken down by specialism, however Ms Christian said the data was not split like this.
