The Mountain Road is set to close for over 24 hours due to the expected poor weather conditions.
Police have confirmed the highway will shut at 9.45am today until 11am tomorrow (February 14).
Authorities say regular reviews will be carried out in between these times to assess the situation.
They also warn Douglas Promenade is also likely to close again today between 10.30am and 2.30pm today because of coastal overtopping.
