Motorsport Development Group discussed in HOK

The Government\'s Motorsport Development Group working within the Department of Economic Development have been discussed in the House of Keys this morning following a raft of questions from Ramsey MHK Leonard Singer.

It was established that the current cost of employing the motorsport section is £242,244 per annum. 

It's made up pf full time and consultancy posts, although the exact figure of full time members of staff wasn't determined.

The Ramsey MHK also asked if it was necessary to spend £57,000 on consultants to study a possible TT World Series.

Minister John Shimmin said the world series is a concept that is worthy of exploration, but its a complex area which requires expert research and advice.
