The Island's top police officer says he resigned from a committee overseeing the TT because he felt it met too infrequently to do its job properly.
Chief Constable Gary Roberts was giving evidence to Tynwald's Economic Policy Review Committee yesterday about the government's failed deal with would-be TT promoter Vision Nine.
Mr Roberts said the motorsports strategy group didn't meet often enough to look carefully into the deal it was asked to advise on.
He told the committee there'd been no chance to directly scrutinise the deal:
