Sailings this morning and this afternoon have been called off.
The Steam Packet Company has confirmed the 8.45am Ben-my-Chree service to Heysham and its return previously scheduled for 2.15pm won't go ahead due to the poor weather.
Meanwhile, tonight's 7.45pm voyage to the Lancashire port and its return back to Douglas at 2.15am on Sunday are also facing potential disruption due to the adverse conditions.
A final decision on those two crossings will be made by 5.30pm this evening.
