Police say they're investigating after an allegation of sexual assault was made against an officer on social media.
Officers say although no crime has been reported to them, they've asked a senior officer and a specialist investigator to look into the matter.
And they say if that inquiry finds any evidence of criminal wrongdoing, a criminal investigation would then be launched.
In a statement, the Constabulary says it's committed to accountability and maintaining public confidence.
