Next year it's the year of the TT Mountain Course Centenary, Manx Grand Prix and the Commonwealth Youth Games.
As it's expected to be a busy year for tourism the Homestay scheme has been launched early.
As many people as possible are urged to register their properties to provide additional accommodation to visitors to the Isle of Man.
We've spoken to Lynne Quiggin, she's had people stay at her house since Homestay was launched 15 years ago.
She said it's a great way to make people feel at home and make new friends.
For more information contact Pippa Gilbert, Tourism Homestay Officer on 01624 686802 or email homestay@gov.im.
