The ICT sector will be key in helping to re-balance government's finances.
That's the view of Economic Development MHK Laurence Skelly.
It was revealed this week that there is a skill shortage on the Island and workers will need to be sourced from elsewhere to meet the growing demand in the sector.
To satisfy short term demand the work permit process has been relaxed to allow for speedier recruitment.
