Enterprise minister Tim Johnston says he's hoping the new ferry terminal in Liverpool will be open by TT.
Earlier this year, Infrastructure Minister Tim Crookall told the House of Keys the first sailings to the new facility should happen this week.
However, in an interview with the Liverpool Echo, Mr Johnston said he hoped the terminal would be in use by the end of May.
Trials are taking place at the Princes Half-tide Dock, with the Manannan mooring there for the first time last week.
