Onchan MHK Julie Edge will ask Tynwald members to introduce the Island's minimum wage rise in phases when the court sits in January.
She's tabled a motion for the rates to go up by five per cent in April and another 4.9 per cent in November.
It's after the court voted to increase the rate by 9.9 per cent from April, following a change in how it's calculated each year.
Tynwald is due to sit from Tuesday, January 20 in Legislative Buildings in Douglas.
