An MHK has accused the Department of Social Care’s changes to care provision as ‘privatisation dressed up’.
Bill Henderson is angry that the department is looking to externalise a number of services including care homes.
He believes there are other ways to progress change and has accused the department of putting out a message of ‘cold comfort’.
Yesterday in Tynwald he was told that the department’s aim is to engage care providers on the Island to reinvest in social care.
