The Manx Emergency Doctors Service received more than 18,000 calls last year.
In Tynwald earlier this week Rushen MHK Juan Watterson asked health and social care member Ann Corlett about the facility.
In response she revealed 18,130 telephone calls were made between January to December in 2016, 8,627 face to face appointments and 821 home visits.
Mrs Corlett also said although there is only one doctor on hand during the week, there is always another doctor on call if MEDS are busy.
