An Island man who volunteered to defuse explosives and clear mines in the Ukraine has won his third medal.
Chris Garrett, from Peel, has been serving with the Ukrainian National Guard as it battles Russian separatists.
He's now been given the Defence of Shyrokyne medal after spending 14 hours trapped behind enemy lines while clearing mines in 2015.
Previously, Chris has won the National Guard's Knights Cross of Ukraine as well as a church medal for his 'sacrifice and love of Ukraine'.
