The former vicar of Maughold parish church will appear in court today.
Canon David Green was suspended from duties in May last year, while investigations took place looking into alleged financial irregularities on the Maughold Burial Authority.
On the 28th June, police confirmed that a 55 year old male had been charged with 8 offences of Theft and 10 offences of False Accounting.
The long running investigation also looks into offences within the The Diocese of Sodor and Man and Maughold Parochial Church Council.
He will appear before the Deputy High Bailiff today.
