The quality of the island’s shopping is a long way off that of the Channel Islands – that’s according to Allan Bell.
The Chief Minister expressed concern to 3FM that the Douglas high street is lagging majorly behind that of St Hellier and St Peter Port.
He said this isn't good for the image of the island when trying to attract fresh business and the issue needs to be looked at closely in the future.
Mr Bell said the Isle of man 'could do worse' than trying to emulate Jersey and Guernsey's retail sectors (see audio).
