Newlyweds Forced To Swap 5 Star Hotel For Cold Airport Floor
Among the 80 stranded travellers forced to spend last night at Ronaldsway were newlyweds Marc and Michelle Furness, on the first official night of their honeymoon.
Snow and Ice forced the closure of the airport last night, with the roads too treacherous for those already waiting, to return home.
On route to New York via London the couple had to cancel reservations at Gordon Ramsey's restaurant in London, instead they has chips at the airport.
They are now on the boat on their way to England in a rush to make their evening flight to the US where they planned to spend their first holiday as husband and wife.
Marc said being forced to swap a five star hotel for a cold airport floor didn't go down well with his tearful wife Michelle (audio above).
