A man’s walked free from court after an allegation he put a woman in a headlock and punched her was dismissed.
Finn Dennis Ledwidge of Manor Park in Onchan appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse.
The 21-year-old had denied assaulting the woman in Hilary Road in Onchan on August 30, and prosecutor Barry Swain offered no evidence after the woman retracted her complaint.
Magistrates marked the charge as dismissed and awarded costs to Mr Ledwidge.
