Man o\'War Jellyfish Spotted In Island\'s Seas
There’s been an influx of Portuguese man o’war Jelly fish washed up in the south of the Island.
This is troubling news to conservationists around the Island as this particular species are known to be toxic.
It’s been over 5 years since they were last spotted off the Island.
The Jellyfish can grow to 30 cm in length, and have stinging
tentacles upto 10 metres in length, if anyone is stung by one of them they are
advised to try and remove the stings with tweezers instead of conventional
methods like applying vinegar.
