Minister lays out approach to frailty care

The health minister's published details on the Island's new approach to frailty care.

Claire Christian provided Manx Care's procedures for frail people when they enter hospital, in response to a Tynwald question for written reply from Onchan MHK Julie Edge.

It involves a "front door frailty" approach, focusing on early assessments and avoiding unnecessary admissions where possible.

Specialist teams work together to prioritise patients who can be treated in the community or fast-tracked through hospital care.
