The Chief Minister says the UK's refusal to give Royal Assent to the Island's assisted dying bill at this time is not a constitutional problem.
In Tynwald this week, Ramsey MHK Lawrie Hooper questioned Chief Minister Alf Cannan on whether this meant the UK was interfering in the Island's domestic laws, and if our constitutional independence was threatened.
Last week, the Ministry of Justice said it needed details of independent monitoring and safeguards to form part of the legislation.
