Man on armed robbery charge remanded until July

Committal proceedings for the man charged with carrying out an armed robbery on RHS Jewelers in Douglas will take place in July.

38-year-old Michael Berquist appeared at Douglas Courthouse via live link from Jurby Prison this morning.

His case was adjourned until July 15th when he'll appear in court in person.

He's already pleaded guilty to a number of charges including stealing the motorbike involved in the incident, having no insurance and failing to comply with his provisional driving license.

No application for bail was put forward.
