A man's been put on probation after sending an ex-girlfriend a message described as "appalling, disgusting and spiteful".
58-year-old Simon Mark Nickson of Cooil Drive in Douglas appeared before Deputy High Bailiff Rachael Braidwood at Douglas Courthouse.
He admitted sending an offensive message, and a charge of domestic abuse was dismissed.
Nickson was put on probation for 18 months and was given a 12-month restraining order which bans him from contacting the woman.
