A former sales manager at a car dealership has denied stealing more than £66,000 from his former employer.
Adam James Michael Welsh of Squires Wood in Preston appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse.
The 41 year old denied five counts of stealing credit balances from Ocean Ford between December 2014 and February 2019.
Prosecutor Roger Kane said the allegations involved false invoices and likened it to a Ponzi scheme.
Magistrates said the case was so serious it would have to be heard in the Court of General Gaol Delivery, and bailed Mr Welsh in the sum of £500 to appear in court again on November 24.
