A man accused of hiding heroin up his bottom will appear in court again in June.
Paul Clint Shields of Mona Terrace in Douglas appeared before Deputy High Bailiff James Brooks at Douglas Courthouse.
The 45 year old denies possessing the class A drug with intent to supply it on January 9.
Prosecutor Barry Swain told the hearing Mr Shields was a passenger in a car stopped by police in Douglas at around 2pm.
When officers carried out a search, they're said to have found a package containing more than 13 grammes of heroin worth up to £3,500.
Mr Brooks said the case was so serious it would have to be heard in the Court of General Gaol Delivery.
Mr Shields was bailed in the sum of £500 to appear in court again on June 28.
