Ramsey's lifeboat crew sprang into action earlier this week when an emergency beacon activated off the Island's East coast.
The Ann & James Ritchie launched at 1.45pm on Wednesday when the Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon signal was received.
However, just under an hour later Belfast Coastguard found the beacon had been activated accidentally.
Ali Clague of Ramsey Lifeboat, says people should check their beacons regularly to make sure they're in good working order.
