A leading academic will deliver the annual Ned Maddrell Lecture this afternoon about the resurgence of the Manx language.
Professor Peter Muhlhausler is professor of linguistics at Adelaide University in Australia and a major force in world of language study.
Today, he will discuss the connection between Manx Gaelic and the indigenous language of Norfolk Island in the Pacific and its links to Pitcairn Island.
