Langness Inquiry to definitively conclude today

After years of legal battles today will see the final chapter in the Langness inquiry.

The long running dispute has centred on the land surrounding TV personality Jeremy Clarkson’s Langness home, which he’d tried to shut off to the public in an effort to protect his family’s privacy.

This was campaigned against by the group PROWL, who took the Top Gear host through the courts to have the public rights of way reinstated.

The Clarkson’s appealed against an subsequent Inspector’s report, which ruled in favour of the campaign group.

Deemster David Doyle has been looking at all of the evidence from the Inspector’s report and will today deliver his definitive version of where the public rights of way are.

His ruling today at 4.30pm will mark the end of a long and drawn out battle.
