Events will be held today to mark the 80th anniversary of VE Day.
The end of the war in Europe in 1945 will be remembered with a two-minute national silence from midday today.
There are also events at Port St Mary's Garden of Remembrance, Onchan's War Memorial on Main Road and Hilary Park in Douglas.
All those events begin at 10.45am.
Chief Minister Alf Cannan will lay a wreath at the war memorial at Government Offices in Douglas at 11.30am.
