The Island Games could generate around £2million for the Isle of Man economy if it's held on Manx shores in 2027.
That's according to the chairman of the International Island Games Commission, Jorgen Pettersson, after it was announced last week the Isle of Man is the preferred host for the event in eight years time.
Mr Pettersson added it could showcase the Islands sporting facilities, culture and heritage to potential visitors.
We've hosted the occasion twice before, including the inaugural games back in 1985.
