IoM to face West Yorks in quarter-final

The match will take place at the Bowl in Douglas

The Isle of Man FA has confirmed the national side will face a home tie against West Yorkshire in the quarter-final of the Inter-League Cup next month.

The match will be played Saturday, February 18 at the new Bowl stadium in Douglas.

Last time around the Island produced one of their best performances in recent memory to come back from 2-0 down at half-time to beat Yorkshire 4-3 with a last-minute winner.

The confirmation of the match comes just days after the IoMFA announced the Isle of Man will play in a new international tournament in Gibraltar this summer.

Chief executive Frank Stennett said they were keen to press on and compete at new international levels.

However, for the time being, a win against West Yorkshire would have the Isle of Man on course to win their second Inter-League Cup since 2006.

Fans can pay on the gate with entry at £3 and any accompanied under-16s are free.
