IOM Football Association thank the public for support

The Isle of Man Football Association has issued a public thank you following Saturday’s unforgettable match.

Last weekend saw the biggest attendance yet at the new Bowl stadium in Douglas for what’s been called one of the best amateur football matches ever.

Despite sub-zero conditions more than 1,000 braved the elements to cheer on Kevin Manning’s side who came from 3-0 down at half-time to win 5-3 in the dying minutes.

Chief executive Frank Stennett has extended his thanks to everyone who was there to watch the national side progress through to the semi-finals of the FA Inter-League Cup.

This has now set up another home tie in five weeks’ time in what will be one of our most important games in years.

The clash against Southern Amateur League takes place on March 24 with a 3pm kick-off. It’s hoped as many as 2,000 people will be in attendance.
