A court has heard a woman from Douglas died from complications after an operation.
32 year old Aimee Woodward, of Peel Road in Douglas, died on August 9.
The inquest into her death opened at Douglas Courthouse yesterday.
The court heard Ms Woodward had died after being moved to the Intensive Care Unit at Nobles Hospital.
This was after complications arose following an operation.
Consultant Pathologist Dr Christopher Clague said death was due to cardiac arrest.
Investigations are continuing at Nobles Hospital into what caused this to happen.
Coroner of Inquests Jayne Hughes adjourned the hearing until a date to be set.
