The government says an illegally-imported XL Bully dog has been put to sleep.
Charlie was brought to the Isle of Man last year by his owner, who later admitted possessing an illegally imported banned breed.
Charlie was then seized by the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture, which said euthanasia was the only option to uphold the law.
DEFA is reminding people there are five banned dog breeds under Manx law: XL Bully, Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, Fila Brasileiro.
