Ian-James Clanton withdraws from election

Ian-James Clanton has withdrawn his candidacy from the Isle of Man's General Election 2021.

In social media post today this morning, the independent candidate said: "It is with great sadness that I must announce the postponement of my candidacy for MHK in this year’s General Election".

Ian-James Clanton, known as 'HM Sole', was running for a second time, having contested the Douglas South by-election last year.

He was standing in the constituency of Arbory, Castletown and Malew.
