Heritage Foundation unveil 'Blue plaque' at home of Robin Gibb

A coveted blue plaque has been unveiled at the home of Bee Gee Robin Gibb who passed away in May after battling cancer and pneumonia.

The plaque was installed at Robin’s Oxfordshire home of Thame in front of a crowd of fans and celebrity friends of the local legend.

The honour recognises Robin’s major achievements throughout his Bee Gees and solo career; it also takes into account his time as president of the Heritage Foundation from 2008 to 2011.

The Heritage Foundation allocates the plaques to sites that have played a huge part in the lives of the UK’s top entertainers.

The ceremony came in the same week that brother Barry revealed his tour plans for 2013 marking his first time back on stage

The last remaining Bee Gee, Barry Gibb, has announced an international tour for 2013, set to get underway in February.
