The Health Services Consultative Committee is changing to focus on the experience of patients.
The committee currently reviews and advises the Department of Health and Social Care, on the performance, policy and operations of services.
It will now be tasked with gathering the experiences of patients, getting direct feedback and observing services, and sharing this information with the department.
New regulations to update the role of the Health Services Consultative Committee will be laid before Tynwald in October.
