Health and Social Care Minister Kate Beefcroft will ask Tynwald for another £11.1 million later this month.
The supplementary vote will be used to cover a departmental overspend on its current budget - which is due to run out in March.
The Liberal Vannin party leader will ask the court to approve the extra cash when it sits a week next Tuesday.
In the motion, she says the additional funds are needed because of excess expenditure incurred in providing its services.
