Head of Financial Crime Unit Praises His Team\'s Hard Work
It’s been hoped that yesterday’s landmark ruling in the Trevor Baines trial will send a strict message out to the rest of the Island that financial crimes carry a very serious punishment.
After being found guilty, 69 year old Mr Baines – whose fortune saw him enter the Sunday times rich list – collapsed, he was rushed to Nobles where he has been ever since.
The head of the financial crime unit, Detective Chief Inspector John Mitchell spoke to 3FM to praise the good work of all involved in the build up to the case (AUDIO ABOVE)
A diagnosis on Mr Baines health is expected from Nobles sometime today.
