The first phase will see supplies of natural gas for 9 areas including Ramsey, Peel, Castletown and Port St Mary.

For it to happen a survey of over 6,800 households had to happen, this pre conversion work is now complete in Ramsey and the South, and presently taking place in Peel, Kirk Michael and Ballaugh.

The conversion works will begin in Ramsey in March of next year.
