Frenzied attack leaves three sheep dead

An urgent appeal has gone out to dog owners in the Ramsey area after three sheep were killed yesterday in what police are describing as a frenzied attack.

A dog described as a black collie/Doberman cross with pointed ears, was seen attacking the animals in the Glen Auldyn/Crossags area at around 3.40pm. 

Police believe it could be the same dog which killed a number of sheep in the same area last week. 

They say the dog could be regularly walked in the Glen Elfin area or it could be escaping from a nearby address. 

Acting Sergeant Vinny Lund said it was a traumatic experience for both the sheep and the farmer:
