Free parking at airport to be scrapped in January

Instead the 30-minute zones will be replaced with short and long-stay car parks - day rate charges are also increasing by 50p. 

 

The change is expected to generate up to £75,000 per year as part of the Department of Infrastructure's bid to save £5 million in this financial year. 

 

The department says the costs are still much lower than other regional airports in the British Isles.
