A former nursery worker has been sentenced to more than five years in prison for sexually assaulting a child and possessing indecent images of children.
24-year-old Andrew James Maddrell has previously admitted possessing 232 indecent images and assaulting a three-year-old child.
The assault happened when Mr Maddrell was working at Sandcastles Kindergarten in Douglas.
Mr Maddrell has also been placed on the Sex Offenders Register for the next 20 years.
The sentenced was passed at Douglas Courthouse this afternoon.
