Firefighters rescued a horse yesterday after it got stuck in a ditch in Jurby Road.
The horse is believed to have been stuck for several hours.
Fire crews took an hour and a half using a lifting machine, provided by a local farmer, to secure and rescue the animal.
The horse, General Lee, was not seriously injured.
Government paid grant for fishing boat used in drug smuggling plot
