The Island's Fire and Rescue Service is asking people not to drink and dive.
The body says riverbanks and coastal paths can be unstable - and people should stick to paths and steer clear of the water's edge.
It took to Facebook to issue the warning.
The service says a quarter of people who drowned in 2022 had alcohol or drugs in their system.
