A motorist from East Baldwin has been fined after police caught him driving with two worn out tyres.
42-year-old Richard Henry Birch was stopped in Tesco car park on January 25th.
At Douglas Courthouse last week he admitted having two defective front tyres, and no driving licence, via Coroner's Admission.
The court was told Birch had admitted the offence at the scene telling officers he knew about the tyres and his expired licence saying he hadn't had time to sort it due to "personal reasons".
No mitigation was offered to the court.
Magistrates fined him £350 and ordered him to pay prosecution costs of £50 - his driving licence was also endorsed with three penalty points.
