The president of the Philippines has cancelled a trip to the UN's climate change summit in Dubai to ty to free 17 seafarers taken hostage when a Manx-owned ship was hijacked.
The Galaxy Leader, owned by Manx-registered company Ray Car Carriers, was seized by Houthi rebels on November 19.
17 Filipino seamen were taken prisoner, although the hostage-takers said they would be unharmed.
President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. says he's sending a delegation to Iran this week to negotiate their release.
