The Education Bill has been withdrawn from today's House of Keys sitting.
Education Minister, Dr Alex Allinson MHK, confirmed the move during today's session.
The minister has been giving a statement on the matter before the proposed legislation was due go through its clauses stage.
Addressing members, Dr Allinson says the decision was taken after he discussed the bill with education professionals following a challenging year for those in that industry.
