A series of drop-in sessions have been arranged as part of a constabulary recruitment drive.
The police are currently recruiting both regular and special (part-time volunteer) constables.
A spokesman said they are on the look out for hardworkers who can demonstrate patience, courage, flexibility and the ability to think and act quickly.
Anyone who wants to find out more is invited to attend the following drop in sessions this week:
- Thursday 2 September at the Civil Defence Training Room, Department of Home Affairs Headquarters, Tromode, Douglas any time from 16:30 to 18:00.
- Wednesday 15 September at Costa, Sea Terminal, Douglas any time between 11.30 and 14:30.
In his annual report this year earlier this year, the chief constable said retaining new police recruits has become "challenging".
Gary Roberts added that over the past year, several new officers left the force, with some saying the work was more difficult than expected.
